Curiosity begs to ask the question for the uninitiated and the unintended.
If one has a limited budget of R10k and is looking for a second-hand camera, what would the “knowledgeable’s” recommend to be a good purchase (body only and price) within the Canon range that offers quality for price and use across various genre’s of photography?
Just asking.

Slow Shutter Speed Creations – Blue Light
Blue light photography happens when the sun is just a few degrees below the horizon line. At this position, the sun doesn’t directly illuminate the foreground (or your subjects). Instead, this indirect sunlight produces predominantly blue hues caused by an effect called Rayleigh scattering. -

Oats and Blueberries
Going out of my comfort zone and playing around with dark and moody for a change. It was really interesting how much work I had to do to cut down the light, especially for the background, to get the feeling I was going for.

Beaunard, the first image, presumed to be the wide or contextual shot, is beautifully executed. The contrast between the people below and the vibrant colours, the layering from top to bottom, and particularly how the people below juxtapose against the mannequins in the top window alongside the shapes and colours, enrich the…Read More

Rosalie, congratulations on a job well done. The way you’ve manipulated depth is commendable, with the blueberries leading the viewer’s eye from the foreground to the background seamlessly. The composition is well-balanced, focusing on the three primary elements: the bowl at the forefront, the blueberries to the left, and…Read More
