Subject was lit only by two paraffin lamps which I hoped would give a soft warm light enhancing the charm of the shot. -

Friday evening in Hazelwood – What to order?
Totally blind shot whilst carrying camera in hand below the waist and walking. Blurry but am pleased with outcome. Pleasantly surprised with position of circle lights. Needed slight rotation and cropping.

Dried leaf, flowers. This is a studio shot…kind of a still-life I suppose. I shoot a lot of this type of still-life
using dried leaves/ flowers etc. usually shot on a tripod from above…overhead….with a side light like a small soft box….thats fairly close and low. Shooting like this you can really arrange your elements and move things in…Read More1 Comment -

kinda the type of image that I’m drawn too…..think this may even be my own reflection in the centre.
Joburg city. one camera and one lens…which is the way I usually go out. Always a prime like a 35mm or a 50mm mainly.
