I took this photo during a photography class excursion. It was a rainy day and I have set up my camera on a tripod and intended for an architectural study when this man with a yellow plastic bag walked into the scene.

About Me

Danie Bester
DPC Founder, Programme Director. Fine Art and Commercial Photographer
The more abstract forms of photography like impressionism and minimalism intrigue me. I prefer creating images that depict energy, mood, and silence. To illustrate my themes, I use mainly long exposures, selective focus, and focus blur. My philosophy is that the camera is just a paintbrush and that thought-provoking images stem from a developed mind.

A very informative read, I have joined competitions on here mainly to better my skills and the feedback I received was and is greatly appreciated as I hope to better myself in every aspect. Working with DPC in the Basic course was an eye opener for me, being exposed to all the possibilities photography has to offer. Now after a health break I have joined the Pro group and I must applaud the DPC community for always being ready to help us as aspiring photographers to grow and progress on our skills.
