Excellent travel portrait, Sharon. Initially, I thought reducing some sky, similar to your other post, would highlight your subject more. However, upon a closer look, the converging cloud lines superbly lead the eye towards the centre, enhancing the composition. You might consider adding an extremely subtle vignette to…Read More

This was taken in the early morning into a rising sun. I needed to retain enough data in the shadows to give a bit of detail hence the high shutter speed. I had taken a number of fairly boring shots when the bull decided he would come to the party and complete the c…Read More6 Comments-

Beaunard, your photograph captures a compelling scene, and you’ve done an excellent job. To enhance the focus on the majestic locomotive, consider cropping a bit of the space at the bottom. This small adjustment could further emphasize its grandeur. If you’re interested, we could explore additional editing techniques like…Read More

The scene you’ve captured is wonderful, yet the narrative at the bottom is overshadowed by the magnificent sky above. To bring more focus to your story, I recommend a 16×9 cinematic crop and reduce some of the sky to place greater emphasis on the story unfolding below. Once fixed, please repost for consideration for a Photo Award.
