On of my favorite subjects to photograph is moving water especially with a slow shutter speed. Image below was taken on a trip to Namibia last year, we were fortunate enough to be there…Read More

  • I absolutely love doing work for Gegrond Coffee!
I recently conceptualised and photographed these visual coffee flavour boards for them! Now their clients can easily (and visually) choose their favourite coffee tone! Gegrond loved them!
And we love their coffee! You can grab their beans at

  • I have recently decided to take up photography as a new hobby. As I was unpacking my new camera and familiarizing myself with its features at my desk, I decided to take a picture using the basic tools available to me. Since I am just an entry-level photographer with an entry-level camera, I am very pleased with my first attempt. The picture I took…Read More

    Canon EOS R, EF 24-104 F4/L IS USM at 1/20 sec at f/4.0 – ISO 100.
Red colour in the water of the sunrise attraced me. Sugarcane fields were burning from some distance in the area, adding the orange to red glow.

    • The shot everybody wants. Such a pity the sun was too harsh.

      • Hi Bruna. Light was not bad at all. I blew out the background in post to hopefully give more impact and focus to the bird. But maybe I overcooked it? Here it is with the background. I would appreciate your thoughts.

In Germany, you did not buy something second-hand—it is a social necessity to look successful. For me, it is not. Canada offered an interesting contrast. It had second-hand shops in the American idiom. I saw in the second-hand store windows the icons of Americanism in a picturesque jumble. I displayed the American dream on posters. I showed old cars, new cars, worn cars, people in cars, and the decay of the car—more as a phenomenon than as social criticism.

  • Track Cycling very often has restricted access … To separate the subject from the background is a conflict – open the aperture for shallow depth of field, and that will speed up the shutter and freeze the action, I therefore chose to pan in order to blur the background (that otherwise would have been in focus) and also needed to show movement…Read More

    • Danie covered panning briefly in his Basic Photography Class on Saturday, emphasising its importance for sports or wildlife photographers in selecting the appropriate shutter speeds for their subjects. This image of a track cycling event by Glen, taken at 1/160th of a second, demonstrates an excellent panning technique.

    • This is a very simple, yet effective portrait, complemented by the fitting directional lighting that suits your subject well. I hope you captured a series of varied expressions. What light shaper did you employ for your key light? Next time, do remember to include more details about your lighting setup.
