Need some advice. I currently use a Canon R camera and I am considering trading in on a R6 Mkii. Mainly due to IBIS. I am finding my photos are not sharp enough especially at 400mm on my 100 to 400.
Also then considering upgrading the 100 400mk2 to the RF 100 500.
Any opinions will be appreciated

Hi, I have the EOS R, all you need to do is set the Auto Speed to 2 stops higher than focal length,

I’m with Pieter on the R6 Mark II. It is an amazing camera, improved AF system. IBIS, Fast., Superb Ergonomics.

I love the image Glen. I think the wide angle paid off. I used to take a lot of school athletics photos when I was still a teacher. Never thought to go wide. Always from the front.

I agree with Jacques. Excellent choice of a wide angle – it shows context, displaying the pit and the impressive distance achieved by the jumper. The official on the other side, with their gaze fixed on the jumper, adds to the scene.

R6mkii is an absolute beast of a camera, love mine. It will definitely make a big difference on sharpness with the 100-500 RF lens. The R6mkii is on black friday special at the moment. My advice, you cant go wrong with this upgrade. Also the focusing system on the R6mkii is next level, I dont miss focus anymore.
