After a couple of failed attempts, a morning finally arrived with only a few wisps of clouds in the sky. I caught this using the 2-stop, three-photo HDR technique right at the edge of golden hour and absolutely loved the golden colours.

Got up early (around 3 am) to catch the sunrise, but it was heavily overcast this morning. These guys just launched their boat and sat on this wave for about 10 minutes before turning around and charging it with more vigour, breaking into the open sea and heading for those stormy clouds.…Read More

BMT College September 2023
Applied my new-found knowledge and shot a few portraits of our personnel. Still a couple of hiccups and fine-tuning and learning ahead. But a couple of the images came out looking not too bad, like this picture of Leandra.

I am an amateur/enthusiast/hobbyist photographer looking to improve my technique and find my style. Right now, I enjoy all types of photography. I lean more towards the challenge of street photography and enjoy the mix of technicality, composition, and creativity of studio work.
As an educator and Vice-Principal of BMT College, I get to do what I love, by creating opportunities for people to learn and improve their worlds.
I absolutely believe that every one of us has infinite potential, but that our purpose for existence is only a fraction for ourselves and mostly for other people.

Great portrait, Jako, especially the expression and toning. However, this portrait could be enhanced by slightly darkening the highlights and a bit of skin retouching.
