Amy Shore, a self-taught UK photographer, is known for her candid and naturalistic style in automotive photography. Rather than staging shots, she captures genuine moments, focusing on the story behind each image. She emphasises the emotion tied to cars, their surroundings, and the bond between vehicles and drivers. This perspective has garnered her considerable acclaim, leading to numerous magazine features and collaborations with major automotive brands.

STYLE
Naturalism: Amy’s images radiate an organic feel. She prioritises real moments over heavy post-processing or staged scenes.
Candidness: Amy’s work often feels spontaneous, capturing the genuine interplay between people and vehicles.
Story-Driven: Every photo by Amy conveys a narrative, whether it’s the journey of a classic car or the intricate details like a driver’s grasp on a steering wheel.

PHILOSOPHY
Emotion Over Object: Amy sees cars as more than subjects; they’re conduits of emotion, and she emphasises their connection to the world around them.
Connection with the Subject: Building rapport with her subjects, both cars and people, is key for Amy. It’s this connection that lets her snap intimate and revealing moments.
Simplicity and Authenticity: Shunning over-the-top setups and gear, Amy leans into her keen observational skills and intuition for her shots.

I’m really enjoying Amy’s work. She’s a storyteller. Her photos are unpretentious and intelligent. Her work is markedly different from Tim Wallace’s. Although I might lean towards Tim’s dramatic style, I absolutely enjoyed browsing through her photos!
