Danie Bester. Untitled, Triptych, Johannesburg, 2018
#MiniTutorialThis triptych features three impressionistic street shots, each taken on a different day with intentional camera movement. Together, they will suit a modern, industrial-themed interior space well.
In my Lightroom courses, I stress the importance of organizing images into collections. This approach helps in creating a consistent body of work and identifying themes, like the blue and brown tones in these images. Grouping images by a common element, like color, adds impact. Other themes can include architectural styles, time of day, seasons, human emotions, or any other aesthetical style or elements.

About Me

Danie Bester
DPC Founder, Programme Director. Fine Art and Commercial Photographer
The more abstract forms of photography like impressionism and minimalism intrigue me. I prefer creating images that depict energy, mood, and silence. To illustrate my themes, I use mainly long exposures, selective focus, and focus blur. My philosophy is that the camera is just a paintbrush and that thought-provoking images stem from a developed mind.
