O! How time flies!

We were walking the streets of Lesotho and I saw the old lady from afar. I knew I wanted a picture of her. She was such a beautiful character. I took the picture with my i-phone and did some processing in Photoshop. To me this picture symbolizes aging and how time just flies by.

I shot this image with a telephoto lens to get the compression on the moon, which helped it to look so big.
In order to get this shot I had to focus stack, meaning I had to take one image for the lighthouse and one image for the moon.

How to Photograph the Northern Lights

The Northern Lights season has now drawn to a close. However, the next couple of seasons could be very special indeed for auroras chasers. Join me as I discuss the beauty of the Northern Lights, some of the science behind them, and how I capture this magical experience. Back in October last year, I visited Iceland for 10 magical days, travelling around the country in a camper van, chasing the auroras. Out of the 10 days, I saw the auroras seven nights, which for Iceland, is quite special. The weather in Iceland can be pretty unpredictable, but I had amazing fortune on my journey.

Paint with Flash, 40 odd flashed photos combined in Photoshop. Walked around subject with speedlight taking the photos, had to edit myself and flash out of a great deal of the photos, final edit in lightroom.
