  John, your photo is outstanding and certainly merits a weekly award. To elevate it further, consider increasing the contrast in the sky to add more drama and depth. Additionally, the watermark in the bottom left stands out significantly due to its stark contrast against the darker background, inadvertently drawing attention away from the intended focal point of the image. Generally, for non-commercial images, we suggest avoiding watermarks and instead recommend protecting your images through metadata. In this instance, the watermark detracts from the photo’s overall impact. I recommend removing it and re-uploading the image for consideration for a weekly award.

    Thanks so much for the comment. Much appreciated. Apologies for the watermark. My system appends it automatically. I try to remember to leave it off as it does affect the balance of the image. Re-submission on its way shortly
