Symmetry vs Asymmetry?
These two photos of the Deloitte Building in Waterfall City illustrate Symmetry vs Asymmetry.
Symmetry in architecture involves a balanced arrangement of elements, mirroring each other across a central axis, creating a harmonious and stable look. Advantages include a pleasing, calming aesthetic, a clear focal point, and a sense of stability.
Asymmetry, however, employs an unbalanced, dynamic arrangement of elements, avoiding perfect mirroring, resulting in a more intriguing, unpredictable composition. Advantages include a sense of movement, tension, and potential for unique visuals.
Which do you prefer: Photo 1 with Symmetry or Photo 2 with Asymmetry?

Can I like both? I understand and appreciate the asymmetry of the second picture. Love how the dark wood on the right pulls me into the image, yet I’m constantly drawn to the lights. However, not sure if it is too much Star Trek with the Enterprise in warp speed, but I prefer the symmetry of the first pic. Everything in balance, beautiful lines. This will probably be the image I end up making (if I ever get to this skill level!).
