Thank you Gavin, I love the Sigma range of Art and Sport lenses, very good quality and much cheaper than OEM.

Do you have the 150-600? Very interested to find out a bit more. What the auto focus is like? Especially at high speed continuousl. I currently use an old canon 100-400. I’m sure it will perform better than what I’m using at the moment.

Thanks for posting, Edward; your image is beautiful and sharp, with good catch-light in the eye. The background is minimalistic and doesn’t compete with your subject, which adds impact your image. Your crop works well with ample space towards the direction the bird is facing, thus creating a good balance in your frame. Unfortunately, you have…Read More

Thank you for posting, Riette. Egyptian geese are an excellent choice for practising bird photography skills. You can find them just about everywhere where there is water. These are a few pointers that could help if you are interested in bird photography. Firstly, don’t give up! then, try your best to get the entire bird sharp using a faster…Read More

Need some advice. I currently use a Canon R camera and I am considering trading in on a R6 Mkii. Mainly due to IBIS. I am finding my photos are not sharp enough especially at 400mm on my 100 to 400.
Also then considering upgrading the 100 400mk2 to the RF 100 500.
Any opinions will be appreciated

R6mkii is an absolute beast of a camera, love mine. It will definitely make a big difference on sharpness with the 100-500 RF lens. The R6mkii is on black friday special at the moment. My advice, you cant go wrong with this upgrade. Also the focusing system on the R6mkii is next level, I dont miss focus anymore.
