First time I properly used Photopills. Had to figure out where to position myself to be in the right spot for the moonrise just behind the Cape Recife Lighthouse. Luckily the weather played along.
Took 3 bracketed shots in anticipation of doing an HDR, but in the end it was very difficult to correctly merge them without making the moon look fake.…Read More

Thank you for sharing your beautiful images Lezindie. Some of your images are nice and sharp with beautiful light in the eye. You captured action which add impact. Some stunning animal portraits and I appreciate your creative thinking process here. The first image of the Buffalo would have worked better if you had waited until the Buffalos in the front moved away from the one that is sharp in the background. It’s all about composition and balance in the frame. Well done.

Looking for a lens comparison? The SIGMA 28-105 f2.8 and the TAMRON 35-150 f2-2.8 are going head-to-head in this review, and it’s a tough choice! Let’s hear what Jared has to say about it.

If I had to choose, I’d go for the Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8. I’d probably use the wider 28mm focal length more than the Tamron’s longer reach, even though it doesn’t go as wide as the Canon 24-105mm f/2.8, which, in my opinion, is the true Swiss Army knife of professional zooms. Still, both lenses are incredibly versatile, and I’d be happy with either!

Excellent execution, and well done on your Photo Award! I’m glad to see you using PhotoPills—I’m still only using the basics like checking light cycles, not determining the precise position of the sun and moon as you did here. It would be fantastic if you could explain your process at the next ProLounge meeting.
