The Profoto feels amazing, looks sleek, and has the best user interface. But honestly, from this tutorial, my own experience, and the speedlight courses I teach, I’ve got to say, the Godox offers the best bang for your buck.

The Canon EOS R1 has just been launched, and don’t be fooled by the title of this video! The R1’s focusing system is absolutely insane, and we can see why sports, wildlife, and documentary photographers will love this beast of a camera!

I can understand why Jared believes the EOS R1 is a mere upgrade to the EOS R3. It shoots 24 megapixels and matches the R3 in many aspects. However, the incredible and improved focus system, robustness, and several other upgrades make the R1 a worthy flagship. It will be interesting to hear from those who have been shooting with the R3 for some time?

24-105mm f/2.8 Z! A Z lens? Really? Is it even possible? Canon releases “perhaps” the most versatile wide-aperture lens—a pricey and heavy 1.3 kg lens! This will be a truly unique lens and I would absolutely love to shoot almost “any subject” with it.

This will be the perfect lens for events, weddings, and any form of photography where you need a large aperture, wide-angle to long telephoto range! If I had to choose, I’d go for the Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8. I’d probably use the wider 28mm focal length more than the Tamron’s longer reach, even though it doesn’t go as wide as the Canon 24-105mm f/2.8, which, in my opinion, is the true Swiss Army knife of professional zooms. Still, both lenses are incredibly versatile, and I’d be happy with either!
