I wholeheartedly agree with Patrick that photography is evolving, and we should adapt by embracing these emerging technologies to enhance our work. Over the past few months, I’ve used AI extensively to teach visual composition and storytelling, which has given me an edge in providing superior examples for my students. I also believe that certain forms of photography, particularly commercial photography, will remain essential for capturing events, people, products, buildings, and more.
However, I am deeply concerned about the future of fine art photography. But there might be a glimmer of hope: reverting to past technologies, such as film photography, and marketing it as an anti-digital or AI stance could potentially resonate with thoughtful individuals and art collectors.
